What I don't really get about this loan investment is the break even due to the high interest rates. There is a funding up https://bitlendingclub.com/loan/browse/lid/1302 with 300% interest rates from the borrowers. Genesis-mining has a calculation in the FAQ of a break even after 97 days, which does seem realistic - but if you assume an increase in difficulty over the mining period of one year, then one would be hard pressed to pay back a 300% interest rate after one year, not even speaking of making any profits.
