It is much more reasonable to believe that a Flying Spaghetti Monster might have magical powers than it is to believe that the most corrupt human beings to ever walk the earth, politicians, can be made into righteous, benevolent demigods if only we vote hard and often enough... Free Healthcare? Really? It's not the fact that this promise wasn't kept that bothers me. But that there was no way it could ever be true, yet so many people "voted" for it. It isn't voting anymore. It's become wishing upon a star that the most evil of men can violate the laws of nature for the good of those who "vote" for them... It would make a lot more sense to ask The Flying Spaghetti Monster to ban Gravity so that you can flap your arms and fly away... At least there's a chance it might happen... Even if a politician had the power to do good for his/her ignorant ~~worshipers~~ voters, s/he would never, ever under any circumstances, do it.

The socialist anti-theist version of prayer, which they mock, is voting: for something far more absurd...
