Hey I have a mac and a similar thing has happened to me and my wallet. stuck on block 6554.. upgraded, nothing seems to work.
I sorted this out by backing up the wallet dat on a USB. Deleted everything including cache etc, redownloaded, synced and then reinstalled my wallet dat. Now its up todate n I'm staking again
