Hey guys.
Just wonderin'; would it be possible to run the NEM client on a rasberry Pi to act as a node?
Yes
I got the alpha working on my Synology NAS, you may check for a tutorial in the nemforum:
http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2245.0There is a general info how to install in linux as well.
However, NIS on my NAS takes about 10 seconds for each 1000 blocks to calculate during startup.
Currently we have about 9.000 blocks, so 90 seconds to start.
Imagine,
after 100 days (144000 blocks) this would be: 1440 seconds = 24 minutes to start
after 1000 days (1440000 blocks) this would be: 14400 seconds = 240 minutes to start
But until then, it is a long way to go, and NIS and NCC will run through a lot of changes
