If we stick to the rules to advance it is not a moneyline bet.
In some cases a team advances even losing the match, thats why the rules should be modified and first playoffs matches voided
If you think , all who bet to draw lost an oportunity of making a "points winning" bet and players who bet to winning team had the advantage of winning if draw too
Team to advance is an obvious moneyline bet. When you make a bet in the NHL playoffs for a team to win it's a ML bet. It's the same as the team to advance. But you can also make regulation time moneyline bets that would include draws. It's the same in all sports.
There are no advantages. The draw may have been the best play or a strategic play. You can also make money line bets for halftimes. The rules didn't make it clear so all of these bets should count until the rules are changed.
