When you compare the quality of ASIC hardware, which is often reported as being delivered in a beat-up state, with forked miner software and dodgy firmware and how stable p2pool is, the double-standard about quality is obvious.
Yeah, it's strange how people could think it's the p2pool code that causes only select hardware to have problems. There was a time in the early days of ASICs when there actually was an issue with how p2pool talked to any ASIC based hardware, then that got fixed.
Now that those who previously complained about this have changed their minds in a haughty foot-stomping sob, maybe we can forget about it. Tip for you guys: stop buying incompatible hardware, or cursing the sky for being blue
