In the future, I would seriously recommend advising customers to expect lead time in shipment rather than simply state "In Stock" which implies same or next day shipping.

Perhaps you could change to "Ships within XX hours" or "Ships within X days", or add a statement of "x number of days processing before each shipment" to avoid misinterpretation by future customers.
