FINAL ALGORITHM VOTE

This will be the final round of voting to decide between PoS (Proof of Stake) or PoW using some Scrypt based mining alternative. Please weigh the options carefully and make sure to vote accordingly. This new vote will be running for 2 1/2 weeks and concluded on Saturday, July 19th. Share the word and let's get as many votes as possible.

Write in votes will be considered and accepted if the member has an actual post history.

So what's it going to be, PoW or PoS? Is that your final answer?

Let me introduce. I'm long term Crypto investor with significant share in EMC2 and technical background knowledge.

I do share the enthusiasm and work you put in voting / changing algorithm. However i think changing coin at this stage is risky + not needed and energy should be focused in other directions.

People aware/investing at this stage in Crypto are Miners/Geeks + investors that like to risk for better roi. However long term this will not be enough. Fresh capital will be brought in by common "non tech" people + investors that are looking for less risky / long term investment. To get fresh capital in EMC2 or any other coin for that matter industry needs to feel secure as coins need to be useful or needed for transactions that would replace fiat in our real life. Changing technical specs of coin after launch doesn't feel safe to me without professional team behind the coin as it wont "save" or help coin long term + it wont help get new "non tech" people or capital into EMC2 for that matter.

EMC2 is young. 1 day or 1 year at this stage is still nothing for Crypto currency / coin. BTC itself doesn't cover 1% of transactions of Master Card market depth atm. And as far i'm concerned Emc2 is doing GREAT technical wise + its purpose with foundation and all that. In my opinion that part doesn't need any drastic changes. ATM Hashrate is above average "scrypt" algo coin by mile and this is fine with me since it is a form of security to prevent 51% attacks and such... and hopefully it will be even more soon. I do support EMC2 from the start in that department by supporting miners / nodes for it. As i was the one pushing it over 1k satoshi mark at the start to get it into multi pool radar.

However it does lack marketing exposure and usefulness which can be obtained by new projects that would make coin needed or more friendly to integrate with web services of any kind. I would support it for that myself. Support to rise / make it publish on new exchanges for example or supporting projects that would need it as a from of payment. Cause this is what EMC2 is at the end. And how the rest 99.9% of people without technical background knowledge will look at it when talking about crypto. POS or POW wont really matter at that stage.. and shouldn't be important now. Stop looking at it from miners point of view is all i wanted to say.

My two EMC2 cents.
