The reason people replied like that is because your not placing a realistic price and therefore insulting those who have worked hard to mine it and want to receive a fair price. Then calling the 'exchanges' scams, when I have happily done 5 trades in the past couple hours on there. Good luck...
I only trust btc-e,bitstamp,mintpal,bittrex,poloniex. I was scammed with cryptorush and coinmarket if you remember them,so I'm really careful right now. I've heard a lot of bad things for bter about deposit problem,missing balances,withdrawal problems etc
when I read FUD about bter in this thread I checked my long forgotten untouched altcoin balances and withdraw it with no problem to my cold wallet.
bter is quite known during china and quark hype in the end of 2013.
