im new to this thread. does anyone know if there is significance to the dump on june 20th?

I think it was related to the MN fork issue.

Won't happen again, since Evan and the team implemented the "spork", a soft hard fork, that can be turned on/off at will to have the time to prepare it perfectly on main net.

i just want to know, if they dumped and left, or dumped and re-accumulated for eg. its quite alot of volume for the price to push back through

Probably dumped when it was high hearing the news, then bought back when it was low after the panic. Check the volume during the "main pump", it just means there was lots of action.
