As an asides, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the coin onto other exchanges. You'll see what I mean in due course.
Looks like a security breach over at Mintpal involving Vericoin.
Personally, I don't trust any exchange for more than the few minutes that I am required to.

edit - Looking forward to the new wallet, hopefully it runs a bypass on several 3rd party services, as dev team has hinted at.
