Edit the 280x bat config file.

For x11. try something like:

sgminer.exe -o --pool-algorithm darkcoin-mod -u -p -I 17 -g 4 -w 64

Important to use 14.6 drivers.

a 7970 should manage these clock settings:

sgminer.exe -o --pool-algorithm darkcoin-mod -u -p -I 17 -g 4 -w 64 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1100

With this setting I get 4465 khash on a MSI twinforce 280x, and above 4100 on a sappshire 7970

You can also try to add -i to 18 or 19.
