Hello everyone! I am Crayon, The one that will be running this here tournament. I just thought I should post some transparency and personal thoughts and opinions on multiple matters.
So lets start this off with a little story. I found Minerals through a reddit post on starcraft subreddit. It didn't get much flack or attention. I heavily started to research on Minerals because I am also a crypto fan. I am not the most well knowledge person on cryptocurencie but I always looked at them as Stock. I have mined, invested, bought and sold different currencys. Bitcoin Dogecoin etc. So the first thing I check was market value, and also this specific thread. All I did was read the first post and skimmed through it and it was a very unique setup. Along with the 200 threads I saw here being posted I was interested. I was very curious on how everything worked so I personally messaged the devolopers and asked for a sponsership for exposing the coin. Now you should know that there are barely increases and a slow decrease going on. Theres a couple of reason why that is happening and explains why I am here.
This coin has not make an impact on the Sc2 community yet. It barely scratched the surface. The tournament that is sponser'd for will do a big crash into the community itself. Now most normal players will target for a sponsorship mainly only to benefit on their behalf. It will go something like, give me minerals and I'll run a tournament under your name for advertising and BAM thats it. That's not how I personally like to work. I sat there and logged a 10 hours discussion in a 2 days period with the developers on How, What, When, Why situations. Also took a peak and help give ideas for the platform modification. Not even recieving anything I responded with pure help to the developers to help succeed in making it out there. Then we finally hit an agreement on the project.
There are a lot of positives and lot of negatives because the crypto itself is not increasing or decreasing as fast as a lot of coins do. I find that a good thing, why would you ever want to invest in a pump n dump project? Its ridiculous, go buy some penny stocks if you enjoy that. Or better yet, go to the casino.
Okay now let's talk about the tournament itself. I am acquainted with a hand full of professional players and that is all you need to contact the rest of the pro players. I know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody. Now the tournament goal is for FULL EXPOSURE. We need people to tune in, live bet, and participate with the tournament itself. Now how do we do that? First thing is prize pool. A Mineral based prizepool, BUT who would play minerals? The vast majority of the sc2 community does not know what minerals is! Thats where my plan kicks in, We add a USD cash prize pool along with the mineral prize pool. That will generate interest along with my connections. Now how do we get the community involve? You simply cannot ask hundreds to thousands of people to go to an exchange just to make bets? How will they ever experience this? I am working on a faucet, in which we can manually flush out, so we can redistribute Free minerals to the viewers every series to help partake in the live bettings. Now tournament format and such will not be explained because thats all based on player base, but as the coin investors I wanted to shed some transparency on our project here.
As for the donations, I am very SHOCKED and GRATEFUL for this. Obviously I am not the type of guy that will take gifts and run away from it, I will use it to help promote even more because the goal is to expose and show how valuable minerals as atm. Since it is your donations, I would like to know opinions on what I am going to use it for.
1. Sell some to my relative as an investment to USE 100% of the USD to fund the prizepool. So for example 1st place will take something like 100$ and 10k minerals. Those are example numbers.
2. Obviously I am going to try to distribute more into the viewership.
3. Get a another upcoming tournament in progress to continue growth!
If any ideas for the use of donations, It will be appreciated.

Crayon, I like your idea of a split pot for the players. As much as I would rather it be 100% minerals I think logically a split USD and Minerals pot will attract more players.
Just keep the minerals pot fairly large so if they go to cash in they realize that more money can be made with Minerals.
The tournament needs to be casted. And rather professionally too. If they need to be paid then so be it. With the casters consistently mentioning minerals and the betting going on the matches. Quoting how much is bet, winners, payouts etc etc.
Good idea with the faucet too. A great stepping stone to the crypto world for the non Cryptos out there.
I like where this is going. Keep updating frequently about the project and great to have you on board mate.

. I have already confirmed and considered everything. Our personal caster is as professional is can get, He has voice like any radio you will tune into. He will be paid in minerals but as far as he knows, he's looking more into pushing out into the market over getting paid. The prize payouts it self I want it to be huge also but it has to be in budget range, But luckily there is so much donation, I am not even worried about it anymore. Those were all opinions on how to progress things. I am being completely transparent for the investors/donators and I believe they have a right to choose what should be done. I do know buying and selling Mineral will fluctuate the price on EXCHANGES. That is why my proposition was for a personal trade between me and my relative to avoid changes in the market. Although teaching everyone how to mine the coin would be great, they will wonder why should they mine for something they haven't experienced yet.The first tournament will expose them to the experience of using the coin.That is the goal. Here's a good analogy I made up.
