Money talks. I'd rather spend the money now and have PoSA audited by a leading figure in cryptography. This way it will defuse any future FUDpacking by competing currencies.
How much money would it require?
The best analysis would likely be free. Find a someone doing post doc work on a scholarship in a compsci area that this falls into.
