The one in the op seems legit unless there's other links in the email he hasn't provided.

is crap. While it is known* that dropbox is not the best service to use, recently [1] it became very clear that you should not use dropbox for critical data. Its free, its easy to use it is not secure. If you must use dropbox for whatever reason make sure the files are encrypted.
