Listing available pools in the OP is fine.
I really don't understand why people grumble about this... Pool Operators can contact the coin dev and ask to include a link to their pool in the OP. Problem Solved!
No, the problem is not solved. Dev's are not online 24/7. Not all devs are responsive. This allows the dev to only accept their favorite pools and accept payoffs. This does not spread the hash. This does not allow miners to mine until/if the dev updates the OP. Not even close to a solution...more like a de-lution.
