smart move, I drop mintpal when it was hacked the first time. There's no way am getting gox'd
recently mintpal was acquired my moolah, so i guess more exprertise in security part, check the announcement: https://support.mintpal.com/index.php?module=announce&sec=view&id=19
I would wait till moola takes complete control and does its security updates before having any funds on mintpal.
