Re: Cryptsy Withdrawal Delays!

To those who experience delays in withdraws, there are several reasons a withdrawal might be delayed.

Due to constant attempts by hacks on every exchange to try to steal a users coins, we have very tight security practices.
Many users do not take this seriously and then complain when a hack gains access to thier computer and wipes them out.

In response to this activity, we look at many things to ensure that every withdraw leaving Cryptsy is authorized.

Below are some things you can do to speed up your withdrawals and reduce any delays.

1) Add 2FA security - This tells us the withdraw that was initiated was done by the actual owner of account. (settings page)

2) Create Pre - Approved withdraw addresses for coins you know you will be withdrawing frequently. (settings page)

3) Always withdraw to same withdraw address - This tells us the coins are going to a previously used address and are less likely
going to a hacker who will generate a new address not already used.

4) Do not login to Cryptsy using TOR or any other means that conceals the true origin of user.

The safety of your investment is extremely important to us, and we will continue to do all we can to ensure that any withdraws made on your
account are authorized by you.

On a final note: the user opening this thread refuses 2FA or ANY of the following steps to help us ensure his withdrawals are authorized which causes
him delays and will continue to cause delays.

A user NOT wanting to secure their coins using any of the above suggestions and using TOR to conceal his login is very suspect to us? This brings up
yet more eyes that must be placed on this account.

Thank You for your assistance.

I dont see whats wrong with using tor, everybody already knows that governments are spying on private citizens.
Also consider the fact i am buying a "anon"coin. I would be willing to set up gpg based 2fa with you guys however you not currently support this feature.

Update: so far half the funds have been released. :-l)

Trust me, TOR or anything that is supposedly anon can still be tracked by a government that has white-hat hackers they hire. It's a false ideal that a majority of people have. Anon tech just makes it for the unskilled hackers to have a hard time exploiting. Packets can always be traced and rebuild in some way or form.

lol. Are you referring to any publicly  known exploit or do you have access to information that none of the rest of us has?
