You have to be really ignorant with no researching and knowledge to fall for phishing sites, e-mail spam etc...

So you are glad that innocent people who are less knowledgeable about internet safety than you are getting scammed?
It is a 'learning' experience for them.
It is kind of like that.
With people getting scammed in hyip/ponzi again and again, users are now more aware of the risk.
With the exchanges that went down with customers' fund, users are now less willing to keep their bitcoin on exchanges.
