Hi Emdje,

If I were to over clock my A2 5 module 75mh/s miner to Max 1300mhz. Would it be fine to run it, directly under an air-conditioner sitting on 20 degrees Celsius, without making any changes or adding any heatsinks etc to the miner?

All I will do is keep the lid or top of the miner opened.

There may be a way to setup the miner and the wall mounted aircon, so the aircon, points directly at the intake fans, on the device.

Although will aircon air, blowing over the top style cooling, be just as effective?

Thanks again for this great IMG file. Appreciate your work greatly. Smiley

I'm not sure I would take the lid off.  Essentially you will be letting air go up, yes hot air goes up but the airflow then would not be making it as easily to end of the blades.

Be careful if you are overclocking and thinking about doing things such as leaving case top off.  Most likely it would be better with case top on and extra cooling going in from front or adding extra exhaust.  And of course temperature of room is a factor.

Thanks for the advise mate. That sounds very logical. More reason for me to set up the office to suit the miners needs. keeping a close look at the temperatures of each module.

Thanks again Smiley

Hi I have been on a holiday, but here I am agian.

My advice is the same as quoted above, taking the lid of destroys the airflow. The blades can take a lot of heat by the way, mine has run without any fans for 10 minutes on 1300 MHz before I realized I had not turned them on. And my A2 Mini still hashes perfectly: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/3166
