@coinits  You should try to hook up a differnt psu. Simple thing to do and you don't need a big one, just enough to run 2 cards to verify if its the psu or not. 450-500w should do it.

What kind of risers are you using?

I'll try the PSU. I have a Corsair 750 that works fine. There are no risers. I have a GA-X79-UD3 from Gigabyte which has 4 slots.

Are your cards ones that are mb power only?
If so that might be the issue. Too much power on the mb

Nope they powered by the PSU. This rig was spec'd out on here and this worked perfect for over 1 month.

Have you tried pulling them all out except for leaving in two and trying just these two GPUs?

If this works add a 3rd, etc.

But would be curious to know what happens with only 2 cards physically present in the computer.

It crashes the computer after about 3 seconds of mining. I am going to rob the computer that I am typing on of its PSU and try that and see if it eliminates the problem. It is a 750. The Corsair 1000 in my rig was DOA when I got it so I had it replaced and it worked but now I am going to try and see if it went kaput. I am not a fan of this hybrid fab technology in these new Corsair PSUs. I regret ordering it.
