Given Bitcoin has gone up many fold shouldn't new comers pay less than 50 BTC for VIP honors?  I imagine most current VIP's paid at most $5,000 worth of BTC and many paid much less.

I mean, what will happen when we hit $3,000 later this year or $10,000+ next year, will it be seriously expected for newer members to pay out a new Lamborghini Aventador for a VIP logo under their names?

Just something to think about.

Cheers!

Q: 50/10 BTC for VIP/donator? Are you all crazy?
A: No, we aren't. Someone who is a donator or a VIP is usually an early adopter and having such a rank means you were either from the start or you contributed a lot in the Bitcoin community. Although, there is a possibility new cheaper ranks will be added.

I said a long time ago that the prices would remain the same, so I can't change this policy now in any case.

Are the new ranks' price going to be variable or adjusted every x days or months depending on BTC price?

Maybe. I haven't thought about it much yet. The forum doesn't need donations, so I'm not going to create another donator level soon.

I think this idea has been passed around long enough.

I tend to think that "ledendary" is not too far above "hero" but I also think that "elite" is a pretty good one.  Are there going to be further benefits for the new rank?   If, for example, these guys have even larger sig-spaces then they'll probably be able to earn more on sig-ad campaigns.  Would that be the case?  What other benefits would be offered?
I don't think any benefit is going to be offered its just honour by this forum for them and their hard work for this forum

I like "ledengary" Wink

Ledengary Mmeber
people will be making new accounts just to avoid that rank Wink
