With the experience with BC, I doubt any alt is more than one-time p&d with occasional jumps on the way down. There is no alt that has broken the pattern so far. Shit - I learned the hard way. Could have become rich selling a few alts at peaks, but have almost nothing now

It's not about how much $ you can buy with your BC, but it's about how much BC you have.
When that BC becomes useful, you're happy with your market position.
In the meantime.. Alts are only profitable short term if you want more btc. In long term, who knows. I think BC is a serious contender.. but will take much effort and use before we beat ATH again.
