Phone app came back with an error that the password was too short.
Is your password at least 10 characters in length? I've just noticed the android app is not enforcing this properly so there could be an issue there.
Edit: Not only can I not pair the device but I cant create a new wallet either (problems with Captcha and Exception with syncing).. So app is unusable right now 
Found the possible cause of this, to do with session replication between tomcat instances. It should be fixed now.
