It is said that the coin "is pegged" to the commodity, but that is not the case.
The coin is not pegged to anything just because somebody says so or even create some "proof trade".

Just imagine some people create a club and paint another four zeros onto a $100 note. They do that with a very special color and say they will honor this as a new note with a value of $1M. Then they show some transactions with the new note as proof that this note is now worth $1M and tell you that you also save a lot of bank fees...
