Spondoolies's machines operate at or near the limit of their power supplies' performance, which means that running on 120V slows down the machines.
This seems to be a very short-sighted cost-cutting measure. As someone who has mined for many years, running PSUs 24/7 at 100% capacity is never a good idea.
Actually they run them over 110% capacity source ZVI somewhere in this thread
my sp10s are running fine since april @ 100%. it really depends on the psu i think...
