I just watched in progress what's happening on cryptsy.
1) The bot is detecting the lowest selling current price.
2) It is trying to manipulate by putting the price even lower - just for 10-15 seconds. If no one is selling even lower, it takes the order away.
3) Then it waits for 5-7 seconds, and tries dumping again - trying to provoke someone watching it to sell even cheaper than itself. As soon as it happens - it puts the lowest price again, and repeats the algo. Basing upon people who hesitate and panic, it gradually dumps the price.

Nobody goes to the effort of running bots out of malice, but greed is another story.

very true. I am continuing to buy more dark whenever i can. I hate the low price, but at the same time i love it haha
