And once you have your DRK, where are you going to spend it? There is no DRK ecosystem to speak of.
We don't have to aim for mass adoption first. There are no retailers yet to speak of because the source is closed, so any merchant that values privacy won't run it - this will all change when it's opened, and we can start pushing the coin to
dealers retailers.
If you truly wanted to be anonymous, wouldn't you want to be lost in the crowd along with regular consumers as opposed to being potentially linked to a currency inadvertently branded as the go-to solution for drug dealers, paedophiles, and tax-dodgers? In front of a jury, what's more incriminating: evidence that you had a BTC wallet on your computer like everybody else including your aunt Bertha...or that you had a sinisterly-named DarkCoin Wallet on there?
There will be plenty of "regular" uses and merchants to spend drk on I hope.
I'll concede to your point about the emergence of decentralized unregulated exchanges. At the same time however, decentralized anonymous BTC mixers can't be far behind.
Regarding your previous concern, deliberately using BTC mixers will look even more damning than using a coin that is natively "cash" - untraceable.
P.S. Don't listen to shojayxt, he's a troll and a spammer who spams his conspiracy theories and paranoid delusions to the point of everyone having ignored him, so he thinks his views are not being appreciated.
