The fact they took down their names though makes me believe they might be telling the truth. Wouldn't scammers just not put their name up to begin with or try to pass off those fake names as being legit?
You have a good point but you cant hold it against others who would have thought of the other logical reasons for that action --
Oh i'm not holding it against others, everyone has a right to question and have a meaningful discussion just giving my counter-argument.
Here is my other rebuttal too, even if the devs are not MIT students but have access to the touchstone system, their identities are probably still known and if they dare to run a scam using MIT resource materials they are playing with fire big time, both in the criminal and civil courts. Is it worth all that to make a few thousand dollars in a pump and dump? I'm not so sure...
