The only modification I'd make to your comment is that I think it makes sense for, say, nodes routing internet traffic to earn based on their quality of service, rather than on their wallet balance. This will ensure a high performance network that serves content effectively.
Large balances already earn interest through POS; we'd want to incentivise good network performance.
As I understand things, large balances stake at exactly the same rate as small balances, so to provide an additional incentive to hold a larger balance, the reward will need to increase dynamically with the size of the balance. It's a good tactic.
rewarding nodes for quality of service is a great idea, I'm curious how you would measure the node's performance and quantify it ?
