It is very easy. Make a folder called "dolphicoin backup" or somesuch. go to C:\users\"yourcompname"\AppData\Roaming and copy the .conf file and the wallet.dat file into this folder. Then just download the newest version of the client and install it. Launch the wallet and if it does not sync, then move the dolphincoin.conf file back to this folder. In most cases that is it, but if something goes wrong and the update somehow damages the wallet.dat, you have a backup (which you should have for all wallet.dat for all coins anyway) Hope that helped, it is rather straightforward.
