you've described the situation with distorted world view in USSR, then you claimed a similar distortion exists nowadays in US(although you have failed to give any measurable metrics that compare amount of distortion in USSR and amount of distortion now in US)
yet you fail to see why am i asking you if you hold same views about nowaday Russia? in the end isn't it the same KGB in power that ruled USSR for decades? do you expect them all of the sudden to be example of honesty and transparency?
