I am sad to see that Black Arrow didn't deliver - they seemed to be a reliable company that made good on their fpga products.  I hemmed and hawed about ordering from them and wound up missing the first round of orders, so I didn't bother.  My post from January https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=376370.msg4375020#msg4375020 pretty much sums up why I had my doubts and didn't order - a company that sells ATM card skimming devices should make you nervous.

Most likely they just bit off more than they could chew and didn't realize the complexity of delivering an ASIC.  If they were truly scammers, then they wouldn't have developed/delivered anything.
