I have tried with offline mining too because this was a doubt I had at the start but it didn't work at all.
How did you actually do that? I mean, could you point out exactly how you attempted that? I think it's rather difficult to get any mining software to run offline, isn't it? They depend on a steady internet connection to receive/broadcast PoWs!
