If they will then I see no problem. Upfront / Escrow is the only way to handle these sorts of campaigns when they're new, and more so handled by a new member of the forum with no positive trust references. Personally I don't care about the content of his site, just as long as he pays what he's due for the signature campaign. And obviously if he agrees to escrow it won't be a problem.
