for a *nix System (including MacOS and Linux)
it should be created inside the .shadowcoin directory within your home folder
open a terminal and type


paste the config file content save and run shadowcoin client after that
for windows the shadowcoin folder is located somewhere else probably AppData in your users folder
but that should be explained by someone else
