I actually do think you have to prove that you are a girl, not because I'm sexist, but because of the sheer amount of scammers that post here in BCT. Also, you did start this post, might as well squash all fears going forward and gain trust, in case you do make transactions here going forward.
It's actually the way it works here, in Bitcointalk. Here, for example from my post a few months back:
All you have to do is take a picture of yourself, write on a blank piece of paper your forum name, today's date, and either blur out your face or not include your face.
That should cement your status here, and gain trust at the same time.
Or not, and let everybody think you're a scammer....up to you.
