If the dev has run away then we could relaunch the coin with an ico again and use the btc generated to advertise the coin.
The ico would still include the old investors btc so it would be fair for them, but then they would need to pm someone their new address.
Unless the wallet.dat would be compatible. (Does anyone know?)

I could make the necessary changes to the code for a relaunch. (I think)
