No, it wouldn't. Not if it was a small yield. If it was a full size ICBM nuke, then yes, but a small yield nuke would only affect the local area, and the emp interference would be very brief. Likely not even noticed in a combat are under fire. Not saying that Russians did use a nuke, but you're wrong about that.

I'm pretty sure "in modern times" anything Russia doesn't like is "a form of fascism." Actually, I take that back, Russia has been attacking and invading things under the premise of them being "fascist" since shortly aftet WW2.
