The anger over the police shooting in Ferguson is totally justified.

Everyday cops kill innocent people for the most retarded of reasons in America and no one is ever held responsible for anything.

Multiple eyewitnesses said Mike Brown had his hands up and he said "Don't shoot" right before they killed him. That is murder.

Also, another thing they haven't mentioned in the media. A big reason new riots have started up in Ferguson lately is because someone torched the Mike Brown memorial that was in the street.

Yep that's right, in the middle of the night someone poured gas on the mike brown memorial and torched it.

Like that's not gonna piss some people off.

No it is not justified.  They are destroying their own city because of a black kid who robbed a store (which was also burned down "in protest") decided to get in a physical altercation with the officer.  I've read through tonnes of reports from both arguments, and as far as I'm concerned, the kids got in a fight with the cop. With the way things work these days in the USA, that's likely going to get you shot.

Now the report I read was that a candle was knocked over and it caught the memorial on fire.  Even if it did happen the way you say, what justification is it to shoot at officers and wreck the city even further?

These protesters are acting like animals!

Rioting is justified when the Cops get away with killing your children on a daily basis. Sure, some of the rioters were just looking to make some $$ but at the same time the anger is completely justified.

America needs some major protests, we're all far too complacent. Well I for one support rioting when the cops kill your fucking family.

You do realize that by doing what they are doing, they are just giving the police more ammo to militarize their police force even further. Brown was no innocent victim in all of this either, no matter what way you look at it.

I do agree that America needs some major protests, but leveling the cities and towns that you live in will accomplish nothing. Then again, I've read there is over 18 million homes sitting empty, many from all the foreclosures when the economy tanked. Guess people can just move on to the next empty city after they destroy the last one.

They are doing some damage but not really leveling their entire town. Nothing will change IMO if no-one does anything. I will agree that long term sustained rioting is not useful and that the riots should turn into sustained peaceful protests on a large scale that bring the issue to the forefront of our national consciousness. I think what happened in Ferguson needed to happen, if there was no rioting no-one would even know about Mike Brown. It is time the country dealt with the issues of over-militarization of police and the fact they are apparently above the law. People are sick and tired of this bullshit and people deserve to be very, very angry over all the needless police killing.
