I'm confused why anyone would want to use Litecoin. It seems to be a worthless currency, and it uses CPU time, a lot of it at that, to generate them. Why bother and use the extra electricity and heat?
For one thing, my GPU mining is so slow that at 1020 Mh/s I actually gain more mining litecoin via my decent CPU then exchanging for bitcoin than I would using both the CPU and GPU to mine Bitcoin only.
