Anyone feel like being my agent? I'll give you a whopping 50% commission to sell the thing.

And that's the rub right there. Pitching a script is not difficult (I've got the contacts). However, having a script worth pitching is the key, along with a compelling storyboard. I'm definitely potentially interested in a JV, via a private Bitpool (or equivalent).

How about you give me ideal specs and I'll write it with your input? Do we want a thriller about a rogue disinformation agent perhaps? Shall we make it an updated "digital" detective yarn?

We can include a nice aside involving a single mom being tormented by an unhinged criminal who contacts her place of employment, using social media to try to sabotage her life, sends threatening or confusing emails to her loved ones, and when she tries to find out what is going on the authorities are completely clueless as how to help... until someone explains to them how a blockchain works... they're able to "follow the money" as a starting point of their investigation... at one point they think it's the Russian Mob... later they suspect numerous government agencies... the big reveal is that it's a simple con artist who who goes to conventions and pretends to be a developer in order to swindle people who have no legal recourse because they have chosen to be anonymous or live abroad.

I can write a feature length film like that in a single weekend if I thought there would be genuine interest.

You've definitely got the right idea, albeit with several salient points missing (i.e. antagonist is a psychopath/sociopath/highly disturbed, etc.)As I understand it, you did indeed write the story that started the shitstorm.

While the copyright on the (CoinTelegraph?) story you wrote is presumably yours, the course of events are not exclusively yours; hence this project should be a collaborative effort. That said, PM me if you're serious, I am willing to set up a dedicated BitPool (or perhaps even a private Google Group) for the express purpose of this screenplay.
