I admire the gonads it takes to leave computer hardware running outside, 24/7, even if it is under a shelter.

I'd be worried about:
- Hurricane-force rains
- High humidity
- Theft
- Nature's beasts (cats, etc)

But hey, if it works, it works!

I've always wanted to trying burying a computer underground, turned on and idling, just to see how long it would last.

I had my miner outside for close to a full year in heavy rain, storm, snow, hail (in a wooden box).

humidity is not an issue, because the inside of the case is usually warmer than the outside, so no condensation will occur. I was a little worried on the seldom occasion I had to switch it off.

Actually the only thing that ever visible got into the case was some very fine pollen Wink.
