So is XChat going to be a separate app from the wallet? Or do you mean like a seperate tab?

I think it is a separate tab in the same app. The icon on the bottom of the screen pic furthest to the right looks like a chat icon.
Yes, it's all one app at the moment. But differentiating is likely as we approach the official public launch.
Maybe it would be good to make it a messenger app with payment option. So the messenger functions would be the main thing. Not saying that the wallet part should have less functuonallity.

+1. Chat is where it's at for user adoption. Will the chat app have emoticons and all the other toys the kids like?
The (tentative) plan is to have a tightly integrated suite of apps. You'd switch between them in-app without even noticing.
Alternatively we could just package essentially the same general-purpose app as XChat, Xpay/whatever, etc. - but with different branding.
All this is pretty speculative, as I'm sure you can imagine.
