I don't like to comment on price but I do think all alts have taken a hit from bitcoin. All altcoin exchange volumes are down too. Look at coinmarketcap, lots of altcoins hurt by BTC movement.
In any case you might want to also follow the
ClearingHouse thread to see other things which are going on, and dont forget to check the blog at
blog.viacoin.org regularly. The Blockchain Notary is now more is less completed and it will take some time to get the "marketing" material ready.
Bitcoin is not the only one to blame for the price of alts (and by alts I mean not another country, animal or color coin). Market cap has shrinked with more than $10B since January and we have about 500 more coins. Yes, BTC has major influence in that, but the real fault imo are the greedy developers who launched 10s of coins.
