What are the options available for changing bitcoins into altcoins and storing them in online and offline wallets. I recentry read a post on a  new exchange that provides this service although lost the link.

Am I correct in assuming the majority of online exchanges only allow withdraw in fiat and btc?

I also know you can buy and sell alt coins on sites such as cryptothrift although you need to find a buyer/seller.
