smooth has a point and I do too. Bottom line is we don't know if CN rings are orthogonal to off chain factors. I doubt it. Maybe smooth is more confident they are.

Edit: my experience with trying to design a computer language and semantic model for modularity taught me that chaos (entropy) can not be cordoned. Thus I would be dumbfounded (my understanding of the universe would crumble) if CN rings were entirely orthogonal to offchain de-anonymization. My model of chaos is the only things that are 100% orthogonal are those which never interact, i.e. don't exist.
