Interesting. Do you ask the people around you for 0.1 btc every time you show your face in public? Do you go about your daily life wearing a mask?

Actually, it would be good to get feedback on this. Why is that some have an allergic reaction to seeing that they need to use a video?:

- The video is not used for "data collection" and "sold on to 3rd parties". This is not a business like Facebook/ Google etc.
- Even if we could somehow "use" the videos for something other than issuing World dollars, we have no other information about you. We don't know your name. We don't know your date of birth. We don't know your address. We don't know anything about you.

Having said all this, it makes sense that members of bitcointalk should be more wary about this than your average member of the public.

Most people claiming World dollars now are happy for their video to go public, in order to spread the word about World Dollar. For those who are particularly self-conscious/ fearful of privacy issues, they can keep their video private.
