KNC has been assuring readers of its forum that the bad experiences of Titan owners who conribute to the KNC forum are not typical customer experiences and that impressions of unreliability and faulty behavior of the Titan gained from reading the KNC forum are a result of sampling error, ie: most posters on the KNC support forums are going to be people having problems.

Fair comment. However KNC are unable or unwilling to produce statements or affidavits from happy Titan customers.

So, lets take a survey.

Are there any Titan customers here who have received a fully functional and reliable miner which continues to operate reliably and can mine any scrypt coin at 300+ Mhs without baby sitting, firmware reloads, SD card reflashing, or significant bfgminer errors ?

Figured I'd chime in here. After making a nice profit with a Jupiter split with a friend we both decided to buy Titans immediately once they were available.

Titan 1 (mine):
running on fw 1.02 currently getting 300mh/s on wemineltc. Only pool that will achieve 300mh/s that I have tried. Original SD card is corrupt. I bought 2 extra class 10's and a spare Pi just in case. (more money down the Titan drain)
fw 1.03 or 1.04 results in dead dies within 10 minutes of running. It's always ASIC 0. Moving cubes around doesn't help. No matter what cube is on ASIC 0 the dc/dc's disappear or go dead. Fw tries to restart dies but never succeeds and just loops messages in bfgminer every couple of minutes.
So currently stuck mining LTC (which i didn't want to do) and probably stuck on 1.02 if future fw doesn't solve the dead die problems.

Titan 2 (friends)
Was running 300mh/s on wemineltc before the SD card got corrupt. He bought a new one and reflashed now it's about 220mhs on 1.02 on wemineltc. Not sure what the issue is as he hasn't had time to explain or troubleshoot but I do know all cubes are running at 300mhz. Probably dead dies but I'll check that next time I have a chance to look myself.

Although it seems like I'm one of the lucky ones, overall we are not happy with giving so much of our profits back to KNC for a product that isn't even close to what was advertised when we paid for it.
