They would not do that without the ability to regulate things in some way. They are not out for profit they are out for monopoly. Once they have a monopoly then the profit comes.

Wanted to share this, sounds like IBM is making something similar to the blockweb.

Most companies don't want anything to do with sharing and cooperation with other companies unless they are in support roles for each other and certainly not with competing peers.

Yeah your right, the publicity would be great. I do not think Dan would let Microsoft anywhere near the code.

I'm sure he won't. But a company like Ford or Toyota or Walmart issuing their own coins to be used on their products and integrated in the Blocknet would be great as would places like new egg and amazon too.
